Tame the echo — and make the wall worth looking at

A bare room bounces sound straight back at you: claps, harsh consonants, that hollow ring on every video call. The KK1432 3D Felt Sound Diffuser breaks up those reflections with faceted geometry, so the room sounds clearer and calmer — while doubling as a piece of wall art. Dense polyester felt, self-adhesive backing, up in minutes. No drill, no installer, no mess.

  • Scatters echo — clearer, less hollow room
  • Self-adhesive — no drill, renter-safe
  • Dense PET felt — holds shape, won't fray
  • Peel & press — up in minutes
  • Backed by Arrowzoom's 100-day guarantee

Diffuser or absorber? Read this first

Two different jobs. An absorber (like acoustic foam) soaks sound up — great for taming overall loudness and bass buildup. A diffuser like this one scatters reflections so they don't slap straight back at your ears — it makes a room sound natural and lively instead of dead or boomy. Most great-sounding rooms use both: foam at first-reflection points, diffusers on the back and side walls. We'd rather you buy the right thing once than return the wrong one.

What's in the box

  • KK1432 3D felt sound diffuser panel(s) in your chosen solid color
  • Self-adhesive backing pre-applied
  • Quick-start placement card

How many do you need? For a feature wall behind a desk or sofa, most buyers start with 6–9 panels in a grid or offset layout. For first-reflection treatment in a studio, pair these with absorption panels at the mirror points.

Install in 4 steps

  1. Wipe the wall clean and dry — no dust, no grease.
  2. Dry-lay your layout on the floor first to lock the pattern.
  3. Peel the backing and press each panel firmly onto the wall.
  4. Hold 20–30 seconds per panel with even pressure. Done.

Technical reference — STC, NRC, and what a diffuser does

Two acoustic numbers come up when people shop for wall panels:

  • NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient): how much sound a material absorbs. Decorative PET felt typically sits around NRC 0.30–0.55 depending on thickness and the air gap behind it. For comparison, thick premium acoustic foam runs higher (roughly NRC 0.70–0.95) — that's the trade-off between "looks great on the wall" and "maximum absorption."
  • STC (Sound Transmission Class): how much sound a full wall assembly blocks between rooms. STC describes the wall (studs, drywall, insulation), not a panel mounted on it — so no decorative panel, ours included, carries a meaningful STC rating.

Honest answer: this panel's job is diffusion — scattering reflections so your room sounds clearer and more natural — plus looking great doing it. If your goal is maximum sound absorption or blocking noise between rooms, pair these with our acoustic foam or soundproofing kits. Buy the right tool and you won't be back to return it.

100-Day Arrowzoom Guarantee

Put these on your wall. If they don't deliver the look and the acoustic lift you wanted — send them back within 100 days for a full refund. Backed by 300,000+ Arrowzoom customers across acoustic treatment, soundproofing, and studio gear.

Frequently asked

Click any question to expand ↓

Will this soundproof my room?

No — and we'd rather tell you straight. This is a diffuser: it scatters reflections so the room sounds clearer and less hollow. It does not block noise from passing through walls. To stop sound moving between rooms, look at our door kits and soundproofing panels.

What size are the panels?

Typical panels in this range are about 11.8" × 11.8" (30 × 30 cm), roughly 0.9" (~22 mm) thick at the peak. Confirm the exact size on the variant you select before you plan your layout.

Will the adhesive damage my paint?

On properly cured paint and smooth, clean walls the backing is designed to hold firmly and lift cleanly. If your paint is fresh (under 3 weeks) or chalky, wait or test one panel first. For textured walls, add a little extra mounting tape.

How many panels do I need?

For a feature wall behind a desk or sofa, most people start with 6–9 panels. For studio first-reflection control, place a few at the mirror points and pair with absorption panels for the best result.

Is the felt fire-safe and low-odor?

PET felt is low-odor and does not off-gas like some foams. For specific fire-rating requirements (commercial installs), confirm the current test certification with our team before ordering in volume.

Can I cut or trim the panels?

Yes — PET felt cuts cleanly with a sharp utility knife and a straightedge. Cut on a protected surface and go slow on the 3D facets.

Will they fade or sag over time?

High-density PET holds its 3D shape and color indoors away from direct sun. Avoid high-humidity rooms (bathrooms) and prolonged direct sunlight to keep colors true.

How fast do they ship?

Handling is 1–2 business days from our warehouse. Standard shipping arrives in 7–14 days to the US and most countries; express shipping in 7 days or less. Free shipping worldwide on orders over $99.

What if they're not right for my room?

Send them back within 100 days for a full refund. No interrogation. Arrowzoom has served 300,000+ customers and the guarantee is the whole point.

What's the difference between impact and airborne noise? 🔊

1. Airborne Noise

  • This travels through the air, like conversations, TV sounds, or barking dogs. When sound waves hit a building, they cause it to vibrate, transmitting through the structure.

2. Impact Noise

  • This results from physical impacts on buildings, such as footsteps, slamming doors, or moving furniture. Impact noise can be harder to isolate, as these vibrations are stronger and travel further through dense materials.

What are decibels? 📏

Decibels are measured logarithmically (not as a percentage) . This means that every increase of 10dB on the scale is a tenfold increase in sound pressure level (SPL) . Near silence is 0dB 🤫, while a sound at 10dB is ten times louder!

  • 30-40 dB = Soft music, whisper 🎶
  • 60-80 dB = Office noise, traffic 🚗
  • 85-100 dB (HARMFUL) = Subway, shouted convo, chainsaw ⚠️
  • 100-140 dB (DANGEROUS) = Chainsaw, loud concert, racing, shooting range 🚨
